Reterritorialized Spaces

LIVE PERFORMANCE IN URBAN SPACE RETERRITORIALIZED SPACES emerge from a distinct recording process capturing performances within public spaces. These spaces are subsequently "archived" as virtual augmented reality sculptures in public space.

The primary focus is on the transformation of repurposed locations in public space, which have been either temporarily or permanently inhabited by autonomously organized communities seeking to repurpose them.

This evolution involves reshaping the purpose of these spaces. In a specially devised recording method, the performer's surroundings are captured utilizing a head-worn mirror and a LIDAR scanner. The performer is visually impaired during this recording process. As the recording individual moves, three-dimensional deformations of the environment materialize around them.

The resultant visual content is then translated into the virtual realm. Exhibition attendees can explore and walk through the augmented reality sculpture using a tablet or smartphone. These AR works are accessible on the rs.litto.work website, where they are archived and accessible for exploration.
