Wind energy is part of a multi-layered, mostly invisible network of atmospheric, ecological, and technical processes. Infrastructure, such as wind turbines, forms a visible layer within this network, while the wind itself can be understood as the result of a complex interplay of global climatic conditions.


Aeolian Scores takes these interpenetrating layers as a starting point to understand wind not as a static natural phenomenon, but as a relational event within a dynamic structure of energy flows, meteorological processes, and technical devices. The work thus refers to often invisible networks that structure landscapes, energy production, and our perception.


At the heart of the work is a self-developed method for recording air currents and translating and storing them as electrical signals. These data are understood as scores: as notations of a temporal event, as the organization of a possible performance in time, as a representation of intensities and trajectories, but not as the event itself.
